Get back to your basic strength

When  you or  your voice  is  not  their  most  beautiful,  powerful  and  effective,  how can we get ourselves  back to our basic strengths.   Breathing!   Lie  on the  floor or  on your  bed,  and put  a heavy  book on your  belly and  move  this book  with your  breath.  A  power  walk or  yoga of  corse.   This is  just  the  first  step.   As  soon as you feel  the  strength   moving

back  to your  body and  mind, it is time  to start your  vocal  exercises.    Massage  your  jaw,  relax your tongue  and  breathe up  sound from  your   diaphragm.   Do some  fundamental  consonant  work  and then   open to your vowels:: ahhh,  ooo,  uuu,  elongate  the vowels in order  to find  their  musicality.  Ah the  power of  voice.   Lush and clear and deep  and  beautiful.  Make it  a great  day!
